Achieving the vision to empower and develop the military industries sector

The strategy of the military industries sector in the Kingdom is based on three main pillars, which define the sector's tasks

Defense Acquisition

Aims to enhance procurement operations by increasing efficiency of spend, prioritizing needs, and supporting the capabilities of local manufacturers, through close collaboration with End User Groups amongst military and security entities.

Defense Industry

Through defense industry, GAMI seeks to localize the sector, and more specifically, it aims to achieve a localization rate of more than 50% of the Kingdom's expenditure on defense equipment and services by the year 2030.

Defense Technology

Aims to build national capabilities to support future plans to upgrade to advanced defense industries in the Kingdom. Upon comprehensive review of the sector's needs, priority technologies have been identified to stimulate technology development processes.
