GAMI is intensifying its preparations for the World Defense Show 2024
The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), in collaboration with its partners from government and private entities, is accelerating its preparations to finalize the arrangements for the World Defense Show (WDS) 2024, which will take place from February 4 to 8, 2024, north of the capital Riyadh. The exhibition will be attended by prominent decision-makers in the defense and security sectors .worldwide, showcasing the latest future technologies in the military industries sector
The second edition of the World Defense Show (WDS) is under the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may Allah protect him - and under the supervision, support, and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI). This reflects the leadership's keenness to achieve global leadership in the military industries sector and contribute to the national objectives of the defense sector in the development of the national economy.
The second edition of the exhibition, designed to be one of the world's leading defense and security exhibitions, aims to have more than 750 exhibitors, the participation of over 75 countries, and the attendance of more than 500 official delegations. It also expects to receive 100,000 visitors from both domestic and
International sources, covering an exhibition space of 47,000 square meters. This space includes exhibition halls, hospitality suites, and buyer-seller meetings, within a total exhibition area and demonstration platforms of over 800,000 square meters. The exhibition features an aircraft runway and a live demonstration area that stretches for 2,700 meters in length and 50 meters in width.
The exhibition aims to enhance the Kingdom's position as a leading global destination in defense, security, and military industries by promoting localization and domestic defense manufacturing, exchanging manufacturing experiences, benefiting from the latest technologies, and highlighting the latest advancements in military technologies. It also showcases the future of the five defense domains: land, sea, air, space, and information security, as well as the latest operational compatibility systems worldwide, in addition to the latest models of military aircraft, drones, and military satellites.
